European Parliament validates agreement with EU Council on classification, labelling and packaging of chemical substances

23/04/2024 (Agence Europe) – MEPs approved by a large majority (533 votes in favour, 11 against, 65 abstentions), on Tuesday 23 April, the political agreement reached at the end of 2023 with the Council of the European Union on the revision of the CLP Regulation (1272/2008) on classification, labelling and packaging of chemical substances and mixtures. The aim of this legislative revision was to put in place harmonised rules applicable to all suppliers before their chemical products...
